2009 was a good year for Alexandra. Winning UK Unsigned and getting to perform at the prestigious Hackney Empire was a highlight. She recorded an album with fantastic writer Sara Jaffe and top producer Darren Monson which is set for release soon on Itunes, and she also teamed up with Lovescandal as their new lead singer. Lovescandal won Newcoming Artists (USA October & November 2008 pop category); have several collaborations with top 10 UK artist "Fizzy"; they recently partnered with Universal Music Group Usa 3 times "Grammy" Award Nominee Eng. Kevin Reeves and are currently under the Management of Paul Leigh "Digit" ex-executive with Sony-EMI. Alexandra is about to record her second track with them.
2010. In February, Alexandra had good news; she won BBC Introducing with the track Drawing Me (written by SARA JAFFE and produced by DARREN MONSON). “BBC Introducing is the brand for new music programmes across the BBC, showcasing unsigned, self-signed and other emerging musical talent primarily from the UK”. This puts Alexandra in the running to be chosen to play on the BBC Introducing stage at major festivals such as Reading, Glastonbury and the like - a major success that has provoked more interest from industry majors. Production and writing team, Red Rhythm - who have worked with artists like Ashanti, Aaliyah, Sting, Liberty X, Run DMC, Sean Paul, Leona Lewis, and are currently in collaboration with Pussycat Dolls own and Got to Dance judge, Kimberly Wyatt are keen to get Alexandra into the studio to write new tracks and have shown a massive support for her and her future career. Stop Press: Red Rhythm's production of DJ Nero's summer dance smash "Rocket" features Alexandra on lead vocals!
April 2010, Alexandra and her newly formed band (The Sunflowers!) played the BBC Introducing gig in Reading with much success - landing new gigs as a result and developing a bigger and more loyal fanbase.
They then went on to perform on the main stage at the Inside:Outside Festival in Reading and headline both the Wokingham Food and Drinks Festival 2010 and Vivacity Festival 2010.
As well as support from the BBC, they have received much press attention and recently have had featured articles in a number of local and national newspapers. They have been headline and support acts at many top venues including: The Troubadour, The Bedford, Monto Water Rats, The Cobden Club, Café de Paris, RichMix for Jazz FM Radio to name a small few.
They released their EP 'FACEBOOK' in December and then their next EP ‘LET’S GO’ has recently been released on to itunes and all other leading online distributors. They have written an additional 6 songs that have yet to be recorded or heard live!
2011 looks set to be even better than 2010. So many new things have happened already and its only February. After 10 weeks they are still number one in the Latin genre of Indie Charts (.com); they have now been asked into another BBC station - BBC Three Counties for an interview and live session; they have just done a live interview and session on Bucks TV; a live recording for Imperial Radio; countless air plays now on various radio stations including Q Radio, Leicester HFM, Jazz FM, Awesome Radio, Sine FM, TD1, Preston FM, The Overflow, Pure 107, Leith FM, Womens Radio to name but a few; a live show for JAZZ FM and Rich Mix; they have been asked to headline at Wokingham Food and Drinks Festival 2011; and are playing at Reading Inside Outside Festival, Farnham Festival, Farm Festival, The H Festival, Glasgow and they have been interviewed/reviewed recently by Buzzin, Qmunicate Magazine, All Gigs, acoustic Magazine, Spark Magazine, Woho Music, France Magazine, Fame Magazine, Butterfly Music, Ent Focus, Femmusic and many more.

“Alexandra’s voice delivers… she emanates songwriting skill…excellent” Review by Pruneau
Redroofs Theatre School graduate, Alexandra Legouix has an extensive list of professional theatre, TV, voiceover and modeling credits to her name. However, the last few years has seen Alexandra climbing the ladder of success as a professional singer / songwriter. She first began getting recognised as one to watch when she was the lead singer for a 7 piece band produced by Paul Handley, Out Of bounds Music. They won Emergenza Unsigned and played in many top venues in London getting very positive feedback from industry professionals. Spotted on this circuit, Alexandra was snapped up and then became the featured live singer with top trance DJ Lost Witness on the Gatecrasher Classics tour promoting new single Behind Your Eyes at festivals here and abroad. This was a great opener for Alex and she started working with many trance and dance DJs as the lead vocalist on their hits.
Alexandra then entered a local competition at Chicago Rock Café, where she went on to win the heats but narrowly lost out to X-Factors Danyl Johnson. However, one of the judges was impressed by Alexandra and asked if she would be interested in working with him. This judge was the legendary rocker, Les Payne. With Less help, Alex has met and worked with a long list of writers. He has produced many of her own songs and they are currently working on an album together, writing new material and re-launching some of Les' old hits.
